Finding Where Epiphany Puts Downloaded Files

This is a new blog devoted to Gnome.
I don't use Gnome for too much as I
have KDE installed on my Linux desktop.

However, I do enjoy the Epiphany browser.
Epiphany is Gnome.

I was wondering where Epiphany stores
downloaded files. Where do you go to
find them?

The first clue I got as to where these
files are stored is when I looked in this
menu that hands off of the edit menu
at the top of Epiphany:

Edit > Preferences

Once I got into the Preferences Dialog,
I found something called Download folder
there. In an indirect way, Download folder
told me where to look.

When I clicked on the Download folder drop
down menu, I was given a choice that included something
called Other. When I chose Other, it defaulted
to the following path:

~/Desktop/Downloads

OK! This was looking good. It would seem that this folder
is my default download folder. However, when I looked there,
I did not find what I was looking for.

OK. Next step is to try the find command. I hate to
use the find command because it takes so much time.

OK. I'm back. The find command did not
find the file either. It must be renamed in some way.

I'll come back to this another day.
